Charles Simonyi is a Hungarian-American software architect. He started and led the Microsoft applications team, where he built the first versions of the Microsoft Office application suite. He co-founded and led Intentional Software, with the goal of developing and commercializing his own concept of intentional programming. In April 2007, aboard the Soyuz TMA-10, he became the fifth astronaut and the second Hungarian in space. In March 2009, aboard the Soyuz TMA-14, he made his second voyage to the International Space Station. His estimated net worth is US $ 3.3 billion.
